Steffen Osswald  

Steffen Osswald is program manager for RD&I at Evonik’s Biotechnology Hub where he coordinates biotechnology projects for the Health Care business at Evonik.

Over the past 20 years, Steffen has held various positions at Degussa and Evonik where he has built up expertise in many areas including fermentation of yeasts and bacteria, biocatalysis, enzyme optimization, microbial protein expression, downstream processing and a broad range of analytical methods.

Steffen holds a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of Stuttgart, Germany and completed postdoctoral research at Forschungszentrum Juelich in Germany.
